Art Standards

Content Standard 1: Media: Students will understand, select, and apply media, techniques and processes.

Content Standard 2: Elements and Principles: Students will understand and apply elements and organizational principals of art.

Content Standard 3: Content: Students will consider, select, and apply a range of subject matter, symbols and ideas.

Content Standard 4: History and Culture: Students will understand the visual arts in relation to history and cultures

Content Standard 5: Analysis, Interpretation, and Evaluation: Students will reflect upon, describe, analyze, interpret and evaluate their own and others’ work.

Ms. Simmons has been the full time art teacher at Hart School for the past 17 years. Currently she is out on a leave, Mrs. Marchetti is taking her place, she is an experienced art teacher returning to teaching after a parenting leave. Mr Martini is joining Hart School this year on Thursday and Friday he teaches the other three days of the week at KT Murphy, and has taught in Stamford for a number of years.
